Pre- Production (Contents)

To make sure I would be giving the readers the best value for money, I looked at other magazines to see what prices they were and then looked at the amount of information on the contents page, that would be available to the reader. This helped to to work out how many pages I should have within the magazine.


These are some of the things that could be inside the magazine

The red ones are regulars, the purple ones are features.

• The main interview. ( for my dps and exclusive) 
• Upcoming gigs. ( different bands tour dates)
• Band fact files. (information on a chosen band by the public)
• Throwback of rock through the ages. (I will include a picture of vinyl's with this)
• Competitions (winning things such as meeting your idols and tickets)
• You me at six interview (unseen truths)
• Album reviews. (new releases, giving our opinion on them)
• Merchandise ( have to collect things through issues to win a piece of merchandise, from your chosen band)
• Unseen interview from nirvana, that was never published. (exclusive interview, mentioned in press release)
• Gig reviews. (from our readers that were there, as well as their photographs)
• Up close and personal with of mice and men. (getting to know them, their dislikes and likes and general facts.)
• Top hits. (our top 10 songs, that we think you'll love)
• Photographs found of 90's bands that were never published, until now.
• How to find us online.
• What's going on in next weeks issue

I would price this magazine at £2.50. This is because, when I did my audience research, the main result back was in-between £2-£2.50. Also, because with the amount of pages that I will be having, I needed to make sure that the price would be reasonable.
